my room facing the sea was perfect little and functional. location: the hotel was just next door to a beautiful sandy beach and the harbour side. there was a casual restaurant nearby.

Loved the beautiful coastal location, our room was opposite the Marina so was a gorgeous outlook from our room. Room was lovely, and a good size.
No apartments - this would have encouraged us to stay longer.

The setting is outstanding as is the access to the town, restaurants and walks... Excellent restaurant and knowledgeable staff gave good wine recommendations Really friendly helpful staff
Several broken slats to the colonial blinds in bedroom and missing grouting around sections of the bath made the area look slightly grubby..

Review: Fine views from the Anchorage Room complemented by a beautiful setting and lovely Hamptons-style decor made for a good stay. The breakfast buffet was really good. service could be slow and on weekends, noise from nearby guests can disrupt the peaceful ambiance. a worthwhile escape. , rating: 8, date of stay: 2024-03-15}

Dinner was excellent, rooms spacious. Location was excellent.
Rooms had thin doors so noise level was excessive, also breakfast was a mad dash with poor service. For $30 per head I expected better food and better service. Dinner made up for it though, food was excellent and waitress gave superb service.

Outstanding breakfast to star a day with champagne and strawberries, for example. Extremely spacious room with a king size bed and a private balcony, for instance, and smoke detectors too for guests' safety. Location very close to local town centre, a Thai restaurant which was great, and the great coffee places and dining locations around Nelson Bay. And 15 mins walk to Conroy Park: )
A little rude staff!

The accommodations were immaculate, with modern furnishings that contributed to a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The provided database also proved to be useful, offering insights that enhanced my overall experience.
I did encounter a minor inconvenience—a slight delay in check-in, which could be improved.

Nice peaceful location on the water, friendly staff, great breakfast variety. Resident dolphins around the marina & breakwall very friendly & very close proximity, heated pool.
Only minor thing was the water noise from internal sewer pipe to room above that had been previously repaired and covered by a vent in the wall and not properly insulated to prevent water noise.This was brought to the attention of reception staff on checkout who advised they would look into it.

The breakfast was tasty, had fabulous meals. Nicely decorated and well-equipped room with a balcony overlooking the boats, improved privacy, as for instance, I had everything needed. The venue was set in the secluded position near the restaurant for the party, the rivers views and the gardens. I ate in the in-house restaurant nearby...

We recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with a five-night stay at this beautiful resort. The stunning views of the marina and beach took our breath away, creating the perfect romantic atmosphere. Our spacious room offered fantastic vistas and comfort, making it easy to relax. The breakfast buffet was really good, featuring barista-made coffee and a good variety of options. The staff was friendly, and we enjoyed lovely evenings at the bar as the sun set. A peaceful walk along the beach rounded off our charming getaway.
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.
